My Story
I have been studying and working within the medical field since 2015. I have done CNA work, worked as a medical assistant, phlebotomist, and even a medical examiner for life insurance. I earned my bachelor's degree in health sciences in December of 2020 and I had no idea what I was going to do from here. I had experienced the ins and outs of the medical field as well as the outcome of not having great insurance. When I came across a position as a health advisor with US Health advisors, little did I know it would change my life. Not only do I get to help people every day, but I get to educate people on what they should be getting out of their health coverage. Not only do I get to do that, but I also find them a plan that they can actually utilize!
So.. what do I do exactly?
My job is to first learn about your specific situation and needs. I take that information and pull up all available plans in the state. We then compare the prices and benefits of different plans, until we find one that has a balance between premiums paid and benefits received. I will always be transparent and educate you on the details of the policy, then once we find the right one for you, we get you signed up! If a public option is best, I guide you through the enrollment process. If a private option is best, I become your personal insurance agent!
What makes you different than the other insurance agents?
I was very hesitant about taking a position that ultimately, was a sales position. I had a stigma around being a salesman and it is important to me to feel good about the decisions I make and the people I help. Once I learned the logistics of the insurance world, I realized I can help and educate so many people on what they should be getting out of their health coverage. I will always be an advisor before an agent and I pride myself on being honest and transparent with everyone I talk to. Whether you enroll in a plan or not, if I was able to educate you on your options, then I did my job.
